Hurricanes Player Spotlight: Seth Jarvis
February 15, 2024 by Zach Martin (Premium THW Substack Content)
What a season for Carolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis. The third-year forward has already set his career high in points with 41 in 52 games this 2023-24 season. That beats the 40 points that he set back in his rookie season in 2021-22. The 40 points came in 68 games played. In 16 fewer games, he has tied and surpassed that number with ease. It is no surprise how the fans of the team wanted to get him to the 2024 NHL All-Star Game with the season he has been having. He is currently second on the team in points behind team leader Sebastian Aho (57).

With roughly 30 games left in their regular season, it is pretty clear which teams will make the playoffs and which ones won’t. The Carolina Hurricanes should make the playoffs, but the forward group could use a boost before the March 8 trade deadline, or even their goaltending since they’re thin with injuries to Frederik Andersen and Antti Raanta.
Hurricanes’ Necas Finding Last Season’s Form at the Right Time
February 22, 2024 by Zach Martin
The 2023-24 season has been interesting for Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas. The 25-year-old Czechia native has seen some peaks and valleys throughout the 50 games that he’s played for the Hurricanes this season. He missed five games at the beginning of January due to an upper-body injury he suffered during practice. Before that, he was on pace to have possibly the worst season of his six-year career. However, after coming back, he’s been electric for Carolina, especially over the last 13 games he’s played, dating back to the Jan. 19 games versus the Detroit Red Wings. Let us dive into the last 13 games played for Necas to see how red-hot he’s been for Carolina.
Don’t Look Now but Hurricanes Martinook Is Electric So Far in 2024
February 23, 2024 by Zach Martin
When people say “New year, new me” it can be in jest or something that is truly legit when it comes to a mindset. For Carolina Hurricanes’ forward Jordan Martinook, 2024 has been electric for the man fans who celebrate his goals with “Marty Party” cheers. Fans remember his very hot second-round playoff performance back in 2023 versus the New Jersey Devils when he tied the franchise record for points in one playoff round (10). Once the calendar flipped to 2024, it feels like Martinook is tapping back into his 2023 playoff form with an insane run of games since Jan. 2 versus the New York Rangers. What have the last 19 games looked like for Martinook since the start of the new year?
