Game 4 Takeaways: Oilers’ Decisive 8-1 Win Should Be a Warning for Panthers
June 16, 2024 by Alex Chauvancy
Even though the Florida Panthers entered last night’s game on the cusp of their first Stanley Cup championship, it felt like they were due for a game like that. The Edmonton Oilers wasted no time making a statement and trounced the Panthers 8-1 to make things at least a tad more interesting. They’ve had the better of play in most of these games, so perhaps it’s something to build on. Meanwhile, the Panthers have some things to clean up ahead of Game 5 on Tuesday.

Panthers’ Evan Rodrigues Is Having Terrific Postseason
June 15, 2024 by Joey Ganzi
An argument could be made that a lot of pieces on the roster are a big contributing factor to the team’s achievement. Captain Aleksander Barkov is having the best playoff season of his career with 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) through 20 games. Gustav Forsling could be crowned the most underrated defenseman for his performance in these playoffs alone, and Sergei Bobrovsky is easily a favorite to win the Conn Smythe Trophy with his performance between the pipes. But one player has also made a big impact on the ice that not many people have spoken about. That player is forward Evan Rodrigues, who has been electric all postseason in his first playoff run with the Panthers.
ESPN’s Stanley Cup Play-by-Play Lacks a Signature Voice
June 15, 2024 by Daniel Amoia
Millions of Americans tune in every June to get a glimpse of potential history. There’s not much better than watching the best of the best leave it all on the line, hoping to hoist the 34.5-pound Lord Stanley over their head. Unfortunately, when watching Stanley Cup broadcasts in recent years, there seems to be a little less magic than usual.
Flyers Should Replicate the Panthers’ Team-Building Process
June 14, 2024 by Justin Giampietro
The Florida Panthers are well on their way to winning the 2024 Stanley Cup, just one victory away from their first championship in franchise history. The series isn’t over, but they’d need a historic collapse to let a 3-0 series lead slip from their hands. As with all Stanley Cup winners, other teams will want to try to replicate what they’ve done—the Philadelphia Flyers should look at what made them so successful, too.
Panthers vs. Oilers Game 4 – Pre-Game Stats, Facts & Notes
June 15, 2024 by Justin Giampietro
In order to win the Stanley Cup, the Oilers will have to win four games in a row against the Panthers. In NHL history, the only teams to ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in a seven-game series have been the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1942, the New York Islanders in 1975, the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010, and the Los Angeles Kings in 2014. Only one of those teams, the 1942 Maple Leafs, did it in the Final.
