With 53 points from a record of 26-15-1, the Oilers are third in the Pacific Division standings. The team has made a remarkable turnaround from sitting second to last in the overall NHL standings just 10 weeks ago. Report: Corey Perry Signs With Oilers, Announcement Coming

According to multiple sources on Sunday, a story first broken by David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period that Corey Perry has agreed to a contract with the Edmonton Oilers is accurate. The team has not officially announced the news but TSN’s Ryan Rishaug says that announcement could come as early as Monday. He adds, “all signs point to Perry heading to Oilers…” Others are noting the deal is done.

The Edmonton Oilers have been an interesting team to follow this season. They started 3-9-1 and now find themselves in a playoff spot at the halfway point of the season, and are now on a franchise-best 12-game winning streak with no signs of slowing down. While the fans and players are both focused on this season and winning a Stanley Cup for the first time since 1990, a few players left the Oilers before the start of the 2023-24 campaign and have been finding success with their new teams. Saturday night marks the 42nd game of the season for the Edmonton Oilers. As such, taking a look at the roster and how they’re faring individually this season is an exercise I tend to partake in every season. This season it was an interesting look back. The Oilers started out incredibly bad, but have since picked it up, winning 12 games in a row.
