Oilers’ 4 Lingering Questions Heading into the 2024-25 Season
August 11, 2024 by Rupert McDonald
The Edmonton Oilers have reloaded and appear to be in store for a massive 2024-25 season after falling a game short of a Stanley Cup championship only months ago. Oilers’ Calm, Productive Offseason Could Mean Great 2024-25 Season
August 11, 2024 by Dale Bochon
As a fan of the Edmonton Oilers since the 1979-80 NHL season, I usually feel anxious during the offseason about the upcoming season. During the Stanley Cup-winning years from 1984 to 1990, there was a bit more calmness, but from 1990 to last offseason there always seemed to be a sense of uneasiness. Not this offseason. When Oilers CEO of Hockey Operations Jeff Jackson took over the general manager duties from Ken Holland in late June, he did a masterful job of making the Oilers better on paper than they were in the 2023-24 season.

Comparing Connor McDavid & Connor Bedard’s Rookie Seasons

The Connors were arguably the two greatest prospects to ever be selected in the NHL Draft, and while they have an eight-year age gap, comparing their rookie seasons can better contextualize who will have the better future.
