April 1, 2024 by Michael Golden
On March 6, the Edmonton Oilers acquired forwards Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick from the Anaheim Ducks. They followed that up the next day by adding Troy Stetcher from the Arizona Coyotes. Now that the newest Oilers have had a few weeks to settle into their roles and they’ve all seen some game action, it’s becoming clearer what Edmonton has in these players.Â

April 1, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The Edmonton Oilers bounced back from an atrocious start and are now in a strong position heading toward the postseason with just 10 games to go in the regular season. After some major decisions that altered the team in 2023-24 — including a change behind the bench that saw Kris Knoblauch named head coach, as well as sending Jack Campbell to the American Hockey League (AHL) after a horrible start and replacing him with Calvin Pickard — the Oilers are on a path to success. The Edmonton Oilers haven’t clinched a playoff spot just yet, but it is more than safe to assume they will be in the dance for the fifth straight season. While it isn’t shocking that they are back in based on preseason expectations, their 2-9-1 start to the year had many beginning to doubt whether it was possible. They have turned things around in a big way since and currently have a 44-23-4 record through 71 games.
Oilers’ Warren Foegele Pricing Himself Out of Edmonton
March 30, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The Edmonton Oilers will have tough decisions after the 2023-24 season when all is said and done. They are focused on clinching a playoff spot and making a deep postseason run right now, but they will have to shift their focus soon to re-signing several players on expiring contracts. With two games in hand on the red-hot Vancouver Canucks and only six points behind, the Oilers still have a shot at winning the Pacific Division. One player who requires a new deal is forward Warren Foegele, who has played exceptionally well this season and has found himself a consistent role in the top six with a strong offensive performance.
