NHL Rebuild Rankings: Post-2024 Trade Deadline Edition
March 19, 2024 by Mike Fink
There were a few teams that were rebuilding last season that have become contenders this season, most notably, the Vancouver Canucks. Then there are a few teams that weren’t considered rebuilders but are back, specifically the Ottawa Senators. Then, there are a few teams that weren’t considered rebuilders but are back, specifically the Ottawa Senators. Then, there are plenty of teams in the middle and tough areas to evaluate. Are the Philadelphia Flyers still rebuilding despite clinging to the third-best record in the Metropolitan Division? What about the Minnesota Wild, New Jersey Devils, Seattle Kraken, and other teams that are having rough seasons but otherwise were expected to be competitive?
Canadiens Development Plan Is Now in Focus
March 13, 2024 by Blain Potvin
The NHL Trade Deadline has come and gone, now what? For the Montreal Canadiens, it won’t be one final push for a playoff spot as those hopes were never realistic this season. No, instead, it will be to focus on individual development. For Montreal and its staff, it will be all hands on deck as they will use the time remaining as an opportunity for the younger members of the club to learn on the job.Â
How the Senators Should Finish Out Their Losing Season
March 14, 2024 by Paul Quinney
The Ottawa Senators have 19 meaningless games to play before the season’s death march comes to a merciful end. Given the choice between sticking a fork in their thigh or being forced to watch those games, I’d be willing to bet that many fans would choose self-mutilation and a 24-hour wait in one of Ottawa’s overcrowded emergency wards for stitches.

March 17, 2024 by Jordan Orth
With the regular season wrapping up around the junior and college ranks, a handful of Detroit Red Wings prospects find themselves playing key roles for their respective teams. While the team has one of the league’s top prospect systems, when can we expect to see some of its top prospects in a Winged Wheel jersey?
Brett Berard: From College Star to a Top-5 Rangers Prospect
March 18, 2024 by Sam Henes
The New York Rangers selected Brett Berard with the 134th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, following his draft year with the United States National Team Development Program (USNTDP) when he tallied 52 points in 54 games.
3 Canucks Prospects to Watch in Abbotsford Before AHL Playoffs
March 18, 2024 by Matthew Zator
With 12 games remaining on their schedule, the Abbotsford Canucks sit sixth in the Pacific Division with 68 points, 12 clear of the eighth-place Henderson Silver Knights and two up on their rival the Calgary Wranglers. The top seven teams in the division make the playoffs, so unless they have a massive meltdown in their final games and the Silver Knights go on a winning streak, they will be competing for the Calder Cup for the third straight year since entering the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2021.
