Money and opportunities help when trying to achieve any major goal. Whether that be a quest to become a professional hockey player, start a business, buy your first home, or become an award-winning actor; having help, mentorship, and coaching is easier than not having help.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t countless stories of people who had little to no help but still did what they set out to do. It also doesn’t mean that people who get all the breaks in the world and have opportunity after opportunity thrown their way don’t squander them.
Being as close-minded and ignorant as Andrew Berkshire was in his video about Hyman’s progression into the NHL is reckless, off base, and teetering on the edge of sending an unhealthy message.
