Ducks 2024 NHL Draft Targets: Carter Yakemchuk and Zayne Parekh
June 21, 2024 by Charlie Hiller
The 2024 NHL Entry Draft is less than a week away. The Anaheim Ducks have the third-overall pick in this year’s draft, where they will have a choice between a few high-end prospects. Despite the high pick, it’s difficult to gauge who will be available — the San Jose Sharks will presumably select Macklin Celebrini with the first-overall pick, but the Chicago Blackhawks will be on the clock next with the draft’s first real decision.
Hurricanes Mock Trade: Ducks Swap Frank Vatrano for Martin Necas
June 21, 2024 by Zach Martin
We are officially a week from the 2024 NHL Entry Draft and 10 days from the start of the re-sign phase and free agency. However, that has not stopped other general managers around the NHL from making trades before the Stanley Cup winner has been crowned. Regarding the Carolina Hurricanes, they’ve been in conversations about what they will do with Czech forward Martin Necas. Per Pierre LeBrun of TSN, they have gotten “concrete trade offers” for him but nothing yet they would say yes to. However, it seems that something could potentially happen either right before, or at the draft on June 28-29 in Las Vegas. There might be a team that some have not thought of who could be in talks with Carolina for Necas. It might feature one of the hottest and most underrated goal-scorers in the NHL over the last two seasons.

Ducks News & Rumors: No. 3 Draft Pick, Zegras, Laine & More
June 20, 2024 by Corey Abbott
The Anaheim Ducks face another important offseason as the team looks to take meaningful steps forward in what has already been a lengthy rebuild. The club has been out of the playoff picture for six consecutive seasons but has amassed an intriguing collection of prospects. General manager Pat Verbeek will be searching for free-agent signings and trade possibilities to complement his young core ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
