Maple Leafs Should Trade for Lightning’s Jeannot This Summer
June 3, 2024 by Spencer Lazary
Now that the Toronto Maple Leafs have hired their head coach, Craig Berube, he is likely making the rounds to connect with the players on his roster. The team’s general manager, Brad Treliving, needs to turn his attention to how he can improve their roster for the 2024–25 season. Treliving did a very good job addressing needs in his first year at the helm, and now that he is going into his second year with the organization, he will likely build off of what he did this season. Treliving brought in players who can play the game but also have some bite; the exact style of players he has been known to love.

Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek discussed the ongoing speculation surrounding the Toronto Maple Leafs and Mitch Marner in their most recent episode of the 32 Thoughts podcast. June 3, 2024 by The Old Prof
There is no denying that Mitch Marner’s production in the playoffs since he first joined the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2016 has not equaled his regular season numbers. In 575 regular season games, he has scored 194 goals and added 445 assists for 639 points. In the postseason, he has scored 11 goals and added 39 assists (for 50 points).

June 3, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The Toronto Maple Leafs were unfortunately eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Boston Bruins in seven games, and will spend the offseason trying to improve their roster and have a better result next season. It is expected that they will continue to make some changes that will alter the outlook of their roster heading into the 2024-25 campaign. While rumours have been flying for a while that Mitch Marner could be someone they opt to part with in hopes of changing the landscape of their lineup, it’s uncertain what the team’s plans are

June 2, 2024 by The Old Prof
In this edition of Toronto Maple Leafs News & Rumors, I’ll focus on the possibility that the team could work to build a roster for the upcoming season by infusing young talent into their lineup that could be a game-changer. The financial flexibility gained by not signing high-priced free agents could be redirected towards bolstering other areas of need while giving promising youngsters the chance to prove themselves.
