From the second they were eliminated in Game 7 of the first round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs by the Boston Bruins, speculation has run rampant on what sort of changes the Toronto Maple Leafs will make heading into the 2024-25 season. The group has continued to disappoint year after year in the playoffs, which has many fans thinking potentially massive changes are coming.

Could Maple Leafs Repeat Kadri Mistake by Trading Marner?
May 27, 2024 by Karine Hains
Back in 2019, Nazem Kadri was suspended for the remainder of the first-round series which pitted the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins after cross-checking Jake DeBrusk in the face. That suspension came on the back of his 2018 first-round three-game suspension for boarding Tommy Wingels of the Bruins.
Maple Leafs Could Target Doan & Durzi in Marner Trade With Utah
May 27, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The Arizona Coyotes will no longer be a team heading into the 2024-25 season as they fall under new ownership and move to Utah. While this new Utah team has no name yet, it is expected they will be running their franchise a little differently in hopes of contending as soon as possible, rather than continuing a rebuild. With that being said, it should be an exciting offseason this summer as Utah has plenty of money to spend on players, and have the assets to make some big moves if they choose to try and contend right away. One player who they could pursue if they wanted to go all-in during their first season is Toronto Maple Leafs’ forward Mitch Marner.

Maple Leafs Should Pursue Utah’s Karel Vejmelka
May 27, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The Toronto Maple Leafs’ goaltending situation will likely look different heading into the 2024-25 season as both Ilya Samsonov and Martin Jones are pending unrestricted free agents (UFAs) who are expected to hit the open market this summer. Matt Murray, who is still recovering from an injury he suffered this past season, will also likely hit free agency as a UFA.
Maple Leafs Could Target Golden Knights’ Theodore & Thompson in Marner Deal
May 27, 2024 by Peter Baracchini
There isn’t any doubt that the biggest story for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season is the status of star winger Mitch Marner. There have been plenty of rumours swirling about him ever since the Maple Leafs were eliminated from the playoffs and if there was a member of the core to be dealt, he’s the ideal candidate to be the odd man out.

May 26, 2024 by The Old Prof
Toronto Maple Leafs general manager (GM) Brad Treliving has a busy summer ahead. The team has now settled on Craig Berube as their new head coach. Now, he gets to form his own group of associate coaches, which leaves Treliving to focus on upgrading the Maple Leafs roster for next season.
Maple Leafs May Have to Pick Between Domi & Bertuzzi…Who Stays?
May 26, 2024 by Karine Hains
The Toronto Maple Leafs want to keep Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi in town. The renowned insider adds a conversation has already taken place between Domi’s agent and the Maple Leafs while Bertuzzi’s agent told Lebrun that “It’s still early, but it’s out there that the Leafs want to re-sign him” (from ‘Rumblings on Guentzel, Kane, Stamkos, Lindholm, Bertuzzi and more as NHL free-agent market heats up’, The Athletic, May 24, 2024). While the team may want to bring them back, the money will have to work for it to be feasible. If both players’ asking price is too high, who should they prioritize?
