May 2, 2024 by Karine Hains
Every spring, it seems like Leafs Nation goes into full meltdown when the Maple Leafs are eliminated. This year is different though — they’ve gone nuclear before Toronto was even eliminated. William Nylander missed the first three games of the series before coming back in Game 4. As is always the case with injuries in the NHL, the Maple Leafs remained tight-lipped about the nature of his injury, even Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman found it hard to pinpoint his injury.

Maple Leafs’ Playoff Hopes Rest on St. Louisan Woll
May 2, 2024 by Stephen Ground
It’s safe to say that almost no one in the Greater Toronto Area has ever heard of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. The sleepy St. Louis suburb of 12,000 residents rarely makes international news. But one man is helping to put Dardenne Prairie on the map — Joseph Woll, who is now the Toronto Maple Leafs’ best hope of escaping another embarrassing, and almost certainly franchise-altering, first-round playoff exit.

Domi and Woll Lead the Way as Maple Leafs Avoid Elimination
May 1, 2024 by Karine Hains
While many already had the Toronto Maple Leafs dead and buried before the puck even dropped on Game 5, Sheldon Keefe’s men made Brad Marchand eat his words. When the Boston Bruins’ captain scored the insurance goal in Game 3, he couldn’t help but poke the bear saying it would be over in five while skating by Toronto’s bench. Last night, Boston had a chance to realize their captain’s prophecy, but they failed to do so because the Maple Leafs believed they could win.
Maple Leafs’ Knies Showing Up in Big Playoff Moments
May 1, 2024 by Peter Baracchini
After a lifeless and disappointing effort in Game 4, the Toronto Maple Leafs were in a very tough spot heading into Game 5 against the Boston Bruins. Down 3-1 in the series, a cloud hovering over their head in regards to an argument on the bench between the star players and to top it all off, they were without Auston Matthews in a critical win or go home game. It isn’t ideal, but it’s the spot they were put in and needed a big response.
