The Toronto Maple Leafs will surely be looking to find more upgrades on the defensive side heading into the 2024 Trade Deadline, even after acquiring Ilya Lyubsuhkin from the Anaheim Ducks in a three-team trade recently. They will be looking to make a deep run into the postseason, and with their current defensive lineup, fans are worried it may not be strong enough to make a push for a Stanley Cup. With several names remaining on trade bait lists around the NHL, the Maple Leafs should be inquiring about everyone but should avoid the reported asking price from the Philadelphia Flyers for defensemen Sean Walker and Nick Seeler.

On Feb. 29, the Maple Leafs acquired Ilya Lyubushkin for the second time in his career from the Anaheim Ducks in a three-team deal that included the Carolina Hurricanes.

Maple Leafs Activate Calle Jarnkrok, Loan Nick Robertson to AHL

With the trade deadline looming and the Toronto Maple Leafs becoming a bit more active on the trade front, they got some good news recently as forward Calle Jarnkrok has been activated off of injured reserve, while the team also announced they have loaned forward Nick Robertson to the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Toronto Marlies. Robertson’s name has come up in trade rumours this season, but he has still had a solid season scoring eight goals and adding 11 assists for 19 points through 41 games this season.
