Los Angeles Kings' Free Agent Targets
May 14, 2024 by Michael Ostrower (Premium)
The Los Angeles Kings fell in Round 1 to the Edmonton Oilers in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs. It was an up-and-down season for the Kings, going through multiple winning and losing streaks as well as making a coaching change midseason. While they are only now leaving the rebuilding stage and entering contention, there is reason to believe they need to add through free agency to get the roster to the next level. Once they address their primary needs, they will be in a prime position to bring the Stanley Cup back to Los Angeles.

May 13, 2024 by Michael Ostrower
The Los Angeles Kings own their first-round selection for the first time since 2021 when they selected Brandt Clarke. Since that selection, they have begun the process of adding high-level talent to begin contending for the Stanley Cup once again. What a Capitals & Kings Dubois-for-Kuemper Trade Looks Like
May 11, 2024 by Michael Ostrower
Jeff Marek recently reported in his “Rink Fries” report that he “got a note from someone from an NHL team (not LA or Washington) wondering if a Pierre Luc Dubois for Darcy Kuemper deal could make sense for both teams.” He cites the Los Angeles Kings’ need for goaltending and the Washington Capitals’ lack of star power as a reason to swap the two underwhelming players. The offseason is only now getting started, but does a Kuemper for Dubois trade make sense, and how could a trade work?

Kings Royal Report: Dubois Isn’t Being Bought Out, Kuemper & More
May 13, 2024 by Michael Ostrower
The Los Angeles Kings and Washington Capitals were both eliminated in the first round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs and will want to make changes this offseason and return with a stronger team for the 2024-25 campaign. While both teams will be trying to bounce back in the offseason, a recently suggested trade could help both teams do just that. In a recent “Rink Fries” article, Jeff Marek mentioned that he was informed of a possible deal, swapping Pierre-Luc Dubois from the Kings for Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper.
