Maple Leafs vs. Predators Pre-Game Notes:
Coming on the heels of news (no pun intended) that Joseph Woll is out with an ankle injury, the Toronto Maple Leafs will try to win a game against the Nashville Predators with Ilya Samsonov back in net.
The Predators embark on a back-to-back set in eastern Canada, aiming for their fourth consecutive win. Historically, the Predators have faced difficulties at Scotiabank Arena, holding a 1-3-1 record in their last five road games against the Leafs.
The Predators are coming off a convincing 5-1 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Key contributors include Filip Forsberg, who leads the team in points, goals, and assists, and goaltender Juuse Saros, with a strong 11-10-0 record.
The Maple Leafs recently extended their point streak to four games, and offensive threats like William Nylander, Auston Matthews, and Mitch Marner will lead the way.
Injured: Timothy Liljegren (lower body), John Klingberg (hip), Mark Giordano (broken finger), Joseph Woll (lower body), William Lagesson (illness)
