After a very successful homestand, the Jets will be visiting Tampa Bay in hopes of extending their great run on hockey. The Lightning are close to getting their superstar goalie back but will be without him for now.
The Jets have won six of their last seven games and only lost to the Stars during that time. They have had a fairly easy schedule as the New Jersey Devils are the only team they have beat that was a sure-fire playoff team heading into this year, but a win is a win, and the Jets have been doing that.
We are past the point of being able to say that players are off to a hot start and the Jets have some guys producing very well. Six players are on pace for 62+ points this season, which is fantastic, and leading the way there is Kyle Connor who has 22 points and leads the NHL with 14 goals.
