Islanders’ Barzal & Horvat Still a Tier Below Panthers Duo

The New York Islanders will face the Florida Panthers in a game that will likely highlight two teams that are headed in opposite directions to close out the 2023-24 season. The Islanders, who have lost seven of their last eight games, are sliding out of the playoff picture with a 30-26-15 record, and at this point, it will take a miracle to see them sneak into a playoff spot. The Panthers on the other hand are 46-21-5 and in second place in the Atlantic Division and in an arms race for the best record in the NHL.
10 Things To Watch in the Islanders’ Final 10 Games

The New York Islanders only have 10 games remaining in the 2023-24 regular season. Despite an impressive win on March 28 against the Florida Panthers, they remain on the outside of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference looking in. They only trail the Philadelphia Flyers by five points in the standings and the Washington Capitals by four points yet it will still take an impressive finish to secure a playoff spot.
Bridgeport Islanders Drop First of Two to Checkers

The Bridgeport Islanders took on the Charlotte Checkers in the first of back-to-back games between the two teams on Friday (Mar. 29) at Total Mortgage Arena. The Islanders were looking for their third consecutive win, the Checkers their fourth. Coming into the game, the Islanders sat 11 points out of a playoff spot with 10 games remaining in the season, so Friday was a must-win game. Unfortunately for fans of the home team, the Islanders came out flat-footed, losing the game by a score of 4-1. Here is what you need to know.
