2024 NHL Mock Draft: Horn’s Mock Draft 3.0
May 30, 2024 by Logan Horn
With the 2024 NHL Draft about a month away, I wanted to take another look at what the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft could look like. We know the teams who hold the first 28 picks already, and the final picks aren’t far from being decided either with both Conference Final matchups locked at 2-2 as of Wednesday night.
Flames’ Draft Options if Tij Iginla Is Gone
May 28, 2024 by Derek Olsen
As May is nearing its end, all of the NHL’s non-playoff teams are gearing up for the NHL Entry Draft. The official dates for the event are June 28 and 29 and they will be held at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Calgary Flames hold the ninth and 28th overall draft selections, among many others in the adjacent rounds. The 2024 Draft class is headlined by projected first-overall pick Macklin Celebrini and features a solid amount of quality young defencemen. The Flames, with their ninth pick, have been tied to Kelowna Rockets forward Tij Iginla since the beginning of the 2023-24 season. Iginla is of course the son of the greatest Flame in history, Jarome Iginla. The 17-year-old had 47 goals and 84 points in 64 games in his draft year.

The 2024 NHL Entry Draft is just over a month away and the Draft Lottery has set the order for the first 16 picks, so it is time to start ranking prospects and determine the top players in each position.
Easton Cowan Ready For Big Stage With Maple Leafs
May 30, 2024 by Andrew Forbes
For the second time in about a month, the Saginaw Spirit lost a big game to the Easton Cowan and the OHL champions — the London Knights. In the third round-robin game for the Knights at the Memorial Cup in Saginaw, a late third period goal by Cowan along with his insurance marker, the Knights defeated the Spirit 4-2 to earn the bye to the tournament’s final game.
Utah’s Top Defense Targets at the 2024 NHL Draft
May 30, 2024 by Cooper Krigbaum
A year ago, heading into the 2023 NHL Draft, scouts and media raved about the forwards it contained, and rightfully so, as it was stacked with high-end talent. You had Connor Bedard, a generational player, alongside others such as Adam Fantilli, Matvei Michkov, and Leo Carlsson, a top four that could end up being one of the best of all time when it’s all said and done. That only tells half the story, as there were ample forwards throughout all seven rounds, which is why it was deemed forward-heavy.

The past week saw the NHL begin Round 3 of the playoffs, but the Kings have not been sitting around watching. Flyers’ Goalie Depth Bodes Well for Their Future Between the Pipes
May 27, 2024 by Justin Giampietro
Of any position group, it’s ironic that goaltending might genuinely be the biggest future strength of the Philadelphia Flyers. But how can that be the case if they don’t have one of the most highly regarded goaltending prospects in the NHL anywhere in their system? How does that make sense?
