The Red Wings come into tonight’s matchup against the Bruins having dropped their last two games and sitting at 5-2-1 on the young season. Meanwhile, the Bruins dropped their first game of the season on Thursday night against the Anaheim Ducks having blown a two-goal lead with less than two minutes left in regulation before losing in overtime. They currently sit atop the Atlantic with a 6-0-1 record.
The Wings have been spearheaded by a continued hot start by captain Dylan Larkin who is riding a season-opening eight-game point streak, while Shayne Gostisbehere and Moritz Seider continue to lead the way on the backend for the team.
The Bruins, who many believed could be taking a step back this season have not missed a beat after a historic 2022-23 regular season, being led by the man known as “Pasta” in David Pastrnak who leads the team with 10 points so far, while their two-headed monster in net with Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark has been stellar to start the season yet again.
