Dear Santa: Vegas Golden Knights’ 2023-24 Wish List

We all face the challenge of finding the right gift for that person who seems to have everything during the holiday season. In NHL terms, that’s the Vegas Golden Knights. The Golden Knights are firmly atop the Western Conference standings while looking poised to defend their Stanley Cup title. They boast a dynamic offense, a reliable, veteran-laden blue line, and some steady netminding from a young duo that includes potential Vezina candidate Adin Hill. To top it all off, they already had one of their Christmas wishes answered with the news of a significant cap increase projected for next season.
At this time of year, however, no team is ever without room for improvement. While the other 31 NHL clubs may not be in a particularly giving mood towards the Golden Knights, here is their wish list for Santa this holiday season…

Through the ebbs and flows of what is roughly the first 40% of the season, there have been plenty of positive stories coupled with brief moments of concern. The fact remains, however, that the Golden Knights remain firmly in the driver’s seat of the Pacific Division (even in the face of the hard-charging Edmonton Oilers) and have done nothing to diminish their odds of repeating as champions.
With that in mind, let’s take a look back at what have been the biggest takeaways coming out of the season’s opening stretch, as well as what it might mean for Vegas moving forward…

When you play a sport and accomplish a task as a team, it is something worth celebrating. Whether you hit a home run, score a touchdown or light the lamp, it makes you happy and creates an expression you want to let out. Scoring a goal while playing in the best hockey league in the world is definitely cause for celebration and Mark Stone is one of the best at showing his feelings.
The Vegas Golden Knights forward has been recognized on Twitter as having some of the best cellys when he or his team scores. The hashtag “#ExpressiveMarkStone” has become a trend online and whenever they score a goal, you can bet there is a camera on him to catch his emotion.
