Get to Know New Nashville Predator Brady Skjei
August 10, 2024 by Nathan Moser
Nashville Predators general manager Barry Trotz was one of the biggest winners of the 2024 NHL offseason. He landed two Stanley Cup winners who are capable of scoring 40 goals each in Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault. As much attention as those two have received, Trotz also made a significant signing on the defensive side as well. He inked Brady Skjei to a seven-year deal worth $49 million. He joins a blue line that already has Roman Josi, Dante Fabbro, Luke Schenn, Jeremy Lauzon, and Alexandre Carrier on it.
Can Predators’ Roman Josi Win the Norris Trophy in 2024-25?
August 3, 2024 by Nathan Moser
The three NHL defensemen who were chosen as finalists for the 2023-24 Norris Trophy were the Vancouver Canucks’ Quinn Hughes, the Colorado Avalanche’s Cale Makar, and the Nashville Predators’ Roman Josi. It was a close call and any of the defenders were deserving to win that trophy for their accomplishments. In the end, Hughes took home the Norris as the first-ever Canucks player to win the award. For Josi, it would have been his second Norris Trophy win, had he gotten the honor instead of Hughes.

Predators’ Saros Earned His Contract Extension
August 3, 2024 by Nathan Moser
The Nashville Predators locked up their starting goalie to a long-term deal. General manager Barry Trotz and Juuse Saros agreed on a contract extension on July 1 for eight years and a total of $61.92 million. This extension was a long time coming for Saros, not just because he had been playing like one of the best in an NHL crease for years. The 29-year-old has been in the Predators organization since he was selected by the team in the fourth round (99th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
