Flyers Play-by-Play Voice Gene Hart Was a Hockey Legend
January 17, 2024 by Justin Giampietro
The Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame may be a prestigious place, but it’s not limited to just players. Actually, the qualifications go beyond those that had a direct impact on the team’s on-ice success. Gene Hart, a play-by-play voice for the team from 1967 through 1995, is among the legends of the franchise. He absolutely deserves this honor.
Flyers Can Move a Defenseman After Adding Jamie Drysdale
January 17, 2024 by Andrew McGuinness
There’s a chance the Philadelphia Flyers have already made the biggest trade of 2024, not just for themselves but for the entire NHL landscape. Trading Cutter Gauthier, a No. 5 overall pick lighting up college hockey and World Juniors, to the Anaheim Ducks for another highly-skilled former top-10 pick in Jamie Drysdale (plus a 2025 second-round pick) is a true blockbuster. Gauthier was considered a massive piece of the Flyers’ long-term future, more important to the success of the team’s rebuild than arguably anyone outside of Matvei Michkov. Then, in the blink of an eye, he was gone.
Keith Allen: The Architect of the Flyers’ 2 Stanley Cups
January 16, 2024 by Matthew Ward
Established in 1967, the Philadelphia Flyers have had several hockey legends pass through hallways of their stadiums and offices over the years. When most fans of the franchise think of the Hall of Famers who have been a part of their organization, Bobby Clarke, Bernie Parent, Bill Barber, Mark Howe, and Eric Lindros are just a handful of the names that come to mind.
Flyers Need to Trade Nick Seeler
January 15, 2024 by Justin Giampietro
In the midst of a very successful season, the Philadelphia Flyers have some choices to make with their unrestricted free agents (UFAs) in particular. Among those is 30-year-old defenseman Nick Seeler, but the team seems to have already made up their mind.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman stated on 32 Thoughts: The Podcast, “I had some teams indicate to me they think Philly is trying to get at least Seeler done [for an extension]”.
Can someone explain to me why Craig Button is ripping the Flyers for supposedly trashing Gauthier? How does “if he doesn’t want to be a Flyer he’s not going to be a Flyer” or just stating that his handlers wouldn’t even meet with team officials mean they trashed the kid?
If anything his handlers didn’t play this too well. Why the big secret as to not wanting to play here?
