Devils' Prospect Update: Cam Squires With Late-Season Explosion
Plus, Devils' entire NCAA pipeline on the rise as European prospects start playoffs
March has seen a resurgence for many Devils prospects, with players from practically every league drastically increasing their production across the board. It’s a good sign after a down month in February, which, in combination with the NHL team faltering to the point of no return, left a sour taste in my mouth — and I’m sure the mouths of any Devils fan following the prospects. While the team itself hasn’t picked up the pace well enough to fight for playoff contention (despite however “close” or “in it” they are), the prospect pool certainly has shown a few bright spots in the last 30-plus days.

The best recent string of play belongs to Shane Bowers of all people, who has two goals and four points in two games in March.
Chase Stillman continued to play relatively well, spiking his P/GP from 0.41 to 0.44 in the past month, albeit still not producing as much as I’d like to see from someone who I project to play NHL games in a fourth-line role in a year or two. His shooting percentage is certainly encouraging, though.
Graeme Clarke and Xavier Parent — the two highest-producing prospects in Utica — have both had rough months. Clarke posted just four goals and eight points in 14 games, dropping his P/GP from 0.79 to 0.74. Parent had the worst of it, putting together just five points (one goal) in his last 15.
