Lindy Ruff Was Not the Devils' Problem
March 12, 2024 by JP Gambatese (THW Premium Content)
On the afternoon of the 4th, the Devils took care of some much-anticipated business: firing then-head coach Lindy Ruff. It was expected — and likely needed — as the players looked deflated in a Californian road trip that should have seen at least two wins in three games but instead resulted in just two points.
Devils’ Kahkonen Was the Only Bright Spot in Loss to Rangers
March 12, 2024 by Erica Rosenbaum
The New Jersey Devils traveled to New York City to take on the New York Rangers for the third time in the 2023-24 season. This marked the first time that New Jersey played at Madison Square Garden as the previous two meetings were at Prudential Center. The Devils went into the matchup with a 0-2-0 record and a minus-6 goal differential against New York. This meeting marked the third out of four meetings this season for the bitter rivals. Their last meeting will take place on April 3 in New York.

March 11, 2024 by JP Gambatese
Heading into the 2024 NHL trade deadline, the New Jersey Devils found themselves in a bit of an awkward spot — they were neither in a playoff spot nor low enough in the standings to consider a full sell-off and re-tool. March 10, 2024 by Daniel Amoia
With just 11 seconds left on Saturday, Timo Meier poked home a rebound and gave a subtle fist pump, trying to suppress his emotion after scoring a goal that had no impact on the final outcome. But he has every right to give himself a pat on the back – that goal marked his seventh in just the last five games.
