Red Wings’ Struggles Continue in the Month of December
December 21, 2023 by Evan Sabourin
The team, losers of seven of their last eight, came out flat once again as Winnipeg manhandled them up and down the ice in a 5-2 win. It has been a nightmare for this club from a defensive standpoint as we head into the new year and there doesn’t appear to be an end in sight. The organization refuses to make any adjustments on the blue line and it’s costing this team valuable points as Detroit looks to return to the postseason for the first time in eight years.
Ranking Red Wings’ Offseason Acquisitions So Far
December 18, 2023 by Jordan Orth
After an offseason that saw several new players come to the Detroit Red Wings organization, the expectations from the fan base were set at a high bar. Through 30 games of the 2023-24 season, the Red Wings find themselves in the midst of possibly ending their playoff drought albeit struggling over the last few games. Red Wings’ Lucas Raymond Fulfilling Potential in Year 3
Decemeber 18, 2023 by Devin Little
As you almost certainly know by now, Raymond was selected with that fourth overall selection. After a successful rookie season in 2021-22, Raymond stumbled a bit in his sophomore season. Entering his third NHL season, fans across the hockey community expected a bounce-back season from the talented, young Swede. We are now a little over a third of the way through the 2023-24 season, and Raymond has certainly delivered.
Red Wings Should Be Patient With Patrick Kane
December 18, 2023 by Tony Wolak
Six games into his Detroit Red Wings tenure, Patrick Kane has two points and is averaging 19:24 TOI a night. A small sample size, but a sample nonetheless. For some, this is exactly where Kane’s performance needs to be. For others, it’s a sign that things are starting off “terribly” in Detroit. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. But if you’re going to rail against a player and team with incomplete analysis, then it’s worth having a bigger discussion. So on that note, here’s a different viewpoint on Kane’s time with the Red Wings.
