Ranking the Arizona Coyotes Jerseys
October 6, 2023 by Chase Beardsley
The Arizona Coyotes might have had a history of being unstable on the ice but jersey-wise, they’ve pleased many with their limited jersey history. With the Adidas era ending after this season and more jerseys probably on the way when Fanatics takes over, I decided to rank the nine jerseys they’ve had in their history in the desert.
To help me, I’ve enlisted the help of fellow Coyotes writer Haynes Evans to help rank the jerseys and share his opinions on each one as well. The ranking was decided by the two of us along with some input by Cooper Krigbaum by each of us ranking the jerseys and adding the score up to get a total. These are the results of the rankings.
Roadrunners Players to Watch During Training Camp
October 6, 2023 by Richard Jelinek
The Arizona Coyotes are finishing up training camp as they look to finalize the opening night roster. Their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, will be opening training camp this week in hopes of landing a playoff spot this season for the fourth time in franchise history. They will receive talent from Arizona, but there are three names to watch in Roadrunners camp.
The Roadrunners have 31 players in camp, with 17 returning from the previous season. While Tucson expects more players in the coming days, they will be preparing for their preseason game on Friday, Oct. 6, as they take on the Henderson Silver Knights at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nevada.
Coyotes Newcomers Looking To Make Immediate Impact
October 6, 2023 by Cooper Krigbaum
In today’s world of the NHL, it seems more common to have a captain. The 2023 offseason had the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, and Winnipeg Jets name new captains. That leaves just five teams without a captain going into 2023-24 including the Arizona Coyotes. The Coyotes have been without a captain since the blockbuster trade of Oliver Ekman-Larsson back in 2021.
This now leaves the Coyotes in a dilemma, with the league-wide urge to name a captain, who should be the fifth captain in franchise history? The current Coyotes roster houses many options; some names on that list include Lawson Crouse, Nick Bjugstad, and Jason Zucker. While those players bring the tenacity and leadership a team needs in a captain, they’re not the favorites. One of the longest-tenured Coyotes who checks all the boxes is none other than Clayton Keller.
