Coyotes’ Daniil But Proving Doubters Wrong
November 25, 2023 by Cooper Krigbaum
Sports sites such as CBS Sports, Yahoo Sports, and SB Nation deemed the Arizona Coyotes as losers after the first round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Not only that, most scouts and analysts were scratching their heads after the pair of selections the Coyotes made. You may ask, what were these two selections that had most of the hockey world talking? It was none other than a pair of Russians in Dmitri Simashev and Daniil But. Most teams weren’t able to watch these two live, as Russia is in the midst of a war. The Coyotes were not like most teams and managed to get a glimpse of the two players.
But and Simashev both play in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with Yaroslavl Lokomotiv; however, expectations and question marks loomed larger for But. In his first season in the KHL, he’s impressed many and is showing promising potential.
Coyotes Will Benefit From Doan & Guenther’s Chemistry in AHL
November 25, 2023 by Haynes Evans
The Arizona Coyotes have seen their fair share of dynamic duos throughout the organization’s history. From Keith Tkachuk and Jeremy Roenick to Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Keith Yandle, to Max Domi and Anthony Duclair, and finally, Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz, the Coyotes have had quite the history of dynamic pairs.
With the next wave of Coyotes being led by Logan Cooley, the organization is getting its first look at the next potential dominant duo in the desert, with Josh Doan and Dylan Guenther down in Tucson. Through 14 games, the two exciting prospects have combined for 21 points on 11 goals and 10 assists.
Coyotes’ Back to the Pack Program Gives Equipment New Life
November 22, 2023 by Richard Jelinek
The NHL is one of many sports to generate community events through word of mouth. The time it takes to promote the event, the efforts and hard work of the volunteers, and the amount of time it takes to get what is needed from the event can be an exhausting yet rewarding experience. Although the Arizona Coyotes are huge in the community and charity work, they have another great program kicking off this season called “Back to the Pack.”
The “Back to the Pack” program was kicked off by the Coyotes Hockey Development Program. The program is to collect used hockey equipment from around the valley and make the pieces available to use again through a thorough process for those wanting to take up hockey for the first time.
