Coyotes’ Moser Developing Into Key Piece of the Future

When the Arizona Coyotes traded Jakob Chychrun to the Ottawa Senators, they needed to fill that void on the left side of the top pairing. Someone who could eat some minutes, contribute offensively, and shut down opposing forwards. Enter defenseman Janis Jerome Moser, better known as J.J. Moser.
The 23-year-old from Biel District, Switzerland had a successful career ahead of him being drafted. Before the NHL, he played with EHC Biel-Bienne of the National League, playing in 133 games. He scored 11 goals and 36 assists for 47 points and 40 penalty minutes over three seasons. He was a vital part of the team’s success and was named captain before the 2020-21 season.
Coyotes Should Test These Line Combinations

The anticipation grew larger and larger throughout the offseason as the Arizona Coyotes prepped for another season. Unlike the past two seasons, the Coyotes had much more buzz surrounding them, and suddenly, the idea of sneaking into the playoffs with the group that was assembled seemed possible. General manager Bill Armstrong promised this as he entered phase two with a big splash in free agency and the signing of former third-overall pick Logan Cooley. The light at the end of the tunnel got much brighter after the offseason.
To start the season, the Coyotes are 5-5-1, which is good enough for fifth in the Central Division. While a couple of games that were lost should’ve been won, this team is extremely young, with several players getting accustomed to everyday life in the NHL. So far, head coach Andre Tourigny hasn’t made too many line changes, and for the most part, he hasn’t needed to, but now he could look at these line options to change things up.

The Arizona Coyotes franchise already has extensive history around its logos and jerseys, as the club has undergone multiple rebranding initiatives throughout its history. The team, like every club in the NHL, has seen its ups and downs over the last quarter-century, but the franchise’s struggles have, more often than not, received the most attention in the news cycle.
Off-the-ice problems have earned the team a lot of detractors outside of Arizona, and it’s no secret that the Coyotes are one of the most divisive teams in the history of North American professional sports. There are very few people on the fence here – The masses seem to either love or hate the Coyotes, and the same has applied to the team’s logos over the years.
