Coyotes’ Connor Ingram Claims No. 1 Role in Net With Great Start
December 1 2023, 2023 Richard Jelinek
Arizona Coyotes goaltender Connor Ingram had been through two organizations before he found a home in Arizona. He has become the Coyotes’ starting netminder and is having a career year through the first two months of the 2023-24 NHL season. Karel Vejmelka is now the backup as Ingram has taken the reins of the net.
Early in his career, Ingram played for the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Kamloops Blazers during the 2014-15 season. He posted a record of 21-21-5 with a 2.96 goals-against-average (GAA) and a .904 save percentage (SV%) in 52 games. The following season, he led Kamloops to a playoff appearance, going 34-15-9 with a .922 SV% and a 2.61 GAA in 61 games.
Coyotes’ Early 2024 All-Star Game Candidates
November 30, 2023 by Haynes Evans
The 2023-24 NHL season is a quarter of the way through, and there’s been no shortage of surprises and tough questions certain teams will be facing down the line. The Arizona Coyotes are indeed one of those teams, having struggled up to this point to find consistency in their game. Nevertheless, there are always bright spots that can be found in anything. For the Coyotes, that bright spot has been the emergence of forwards Michael Carcone and Matias Maccelli.
Which begs the question: Could Clayton Keller be replaced as the Coyotes 2024 All-Star Game representative? Could the Coyotes end up having two representatives come February? It’s with no question that the Coyotes are past the days of needing Nick Schmaltz and Keller to carry the offense. Others, such as Lawson Crouse, Jack McBain, Nick Bjugstad, Sean Durzi, Logan Cooley, etc… have contributed in their own way. As the Coyotes become more competitive, more names will push for a chance to be represented at All-Star Weekend. Today, we take a look at five names who could represent the Coyotes in Toronto:
Coyotes’ Crouse, Bjugstad & Maccelli Line Is Among Best in NHL
November 30, 2023 by Cooper Krigbaum
Whenever the Arizona Coyotes are brought up, superstar Clayton Keller is usually the first player that comes to mind. It makes sense; he’s a three-time All-Star and tied Keith Tkachuk for the most points in Coyotes’ history last season. Then, inserting rookie sensation Logan Cooley into the mix, many other players quickly get overshadowed. It can be simple to skim over names of players people don’t know, but a particular line is as hot as ever and is not getting nearly enough attention.
It’s none other than Matias Maccelli, Nick Bjugstad, and Lawson Crouse who have done remarkably well for the Coyotes through the quarter mark. Each brings a specific skill set to the table, making the line versatile and distinct from others. The season still has a way to go, but this line has stuck together, and if they continue to find success, it will be hard for head coach André Tourigny to separate them.
