Canucks' 3 Up, 3 Down: Demko Injury, Hoglander, Soucy & More
Hoglander hits the 20-goal milestone, a defensive masterclass highlights a 4-game win streak & more!
The Vancouver Canucks have turned things around in a major way after a mediocre February that saw them win only five games and post their longest losing streak of the season (four games). Since losing 5-1 to the Los Angeles Kings on Feb. 29, they have won four straight and only allowed three goals in that span. Arguably playing their best defensive hockey of the season, they have regained their form as the top team in the Western Conference and now sit two points ahead of the Dallas Stars and 11 points clear of the Edmonton Oilers for the Pacific Division crown.
Unfortunately, amid another masterclass of defence against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday (March 9), All-Star and Vezina Trophy contender Thatcher Demko left with an apparent injury and as of now, we are uncertain of its severity, but it has been reported that he will miss a few games.
