Canucks’ Quinn Hughes Wins 2024 Norris Trophy

Vancouver Canucks’ defenseman Quinn Hughes has won the 2024 James Norris Memorial Trophy, provided annually to the top defense player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-around ability in the position. Hughes had 17 goals and 92 points, setting career highs in both categories while providing elite defense on the Canucks’ blueline.

Canucks Re-Sign Tyler Myers to 3-Year Contract

The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed defenceman Tyler Myers to a three-year contract worth $3 million average annual value (AAV). It was almost a foregone conclusion that he was going to return to Vancouver, and now it’s official as he took a massive discount from his previous contract where he was paid $6 million AAV.

Canucks Re-Sign Dakota Joshua to 4-Year Contract

The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Dakota Joshua to a four-year contract worth $3.25 million per season. The 28-year-old exploded production-wise in 2023-24 in Vancouver, so he got a big-time reward for that with this deal.
Blackhawks Acquire Mikheyev & Lafferty From the Canucks

The Chicago Blackhawks announced that the team had acquired forwards Ilya Mikheyev, Sam Lafferty and a 2027 second-round pick from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round pick. Vancouver will retain 15% of Mikheyev’s salary for the remaining term of the contract.
