Canucks’ Lindholm & Zadorov Proving Their Worth in the Playoffs
May 10, 2024 by Matthew Zator
The Vancouver Canucks have treated their fans to some excitement and drama so far in the 2024 Playoffs. They should be called the “Comeback Canucks” at this point given their propensity to dig deep and never give up despite being down multiple goals. They did it in the first round against the Nashville Predators in Game 4, shocking the Bridgestone Arena crowd by notching two goals in less than two minutes and winning it in overtime off the stick of Elias Lindholm. Then, in another crescendo of exciting hockey, Conor Garland provided the dramatics in Game 1 against the Edmonton Oilers with his cheeky game-winner where he faked out Stuart Skinner with a slapper and slid it five-hole. That goal completed the comeback after Lindholm, JT Miller and Nikita Zadorov scored three unanswered to tie the game at four.
Canucks’ Third Line Key to Success This Season
May 10, 2024 by Sartaaj Bhullar
The Vancouver Canucks started the second round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a bang. In Game 1 against the Edmonton Oilers, the organization came back after trailing 4-1. Elias Lindholm scored late in the second to cut the lead to two before the club exploded with three goals in the third for the win.
Canucks Show Familiar Resilience vs. Oilers in Game 1
May 9, 2024 by Edgar Chaput
The Vancouver Canucks have played seven games in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and fans have witnessed a little bit of everything; wins at home, wins on the road, victories in regulation, and in overtime. Three starting goalies have collectively earned five wins. The thrilling 5-4 result in Game 1 of their second-round bout versus the Edmonton Oilers was an experience that blended the old with the new. More goals were scored than in any other Canucks playoff game this season – a lot more, in fact – and the team had another show of resilience against a familiar foe.

Oilers/Canucks Series Will Be Decided by Goaltending
May 8, 2024 by Dale Bochon
In a second round Stanley Cup playoff series featuring stars such as Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Quinn Hughes, and Elias Pettersson, the difference between the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks will most likely come down to goaltending. I wouldn’t be so quick to give the advantage to Stuart Skinner and the Oilers, especially after the performance Canucks goaltender Arturs Silovs put in versus the Nashville Predators. Silovs, who started the playoffs as the third-string goalie on the Canucks roster behind Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith, found himself starting Game 4 against the Predators after both Demko and DeSmith went down with injuries and has never relinquished the net.
