3 Canadiens Bold Offseason Predictions
July 18, 2024 by Trege Wilson
The Montreal Canadiens have had a slow offseason so far, with only one minor free-agent signing and locking up one of their top players, Juraj Slafkovsky, long-term; it’s been crickets ever since. General manager (GM) Kent Hughes hinted before the draft they wanted to make a few moves but nothing that would hurt the long-term goal or get in the way of a prospect advancing. The summer isn’t over, and there is still lots of time to make moves. There are also a few trade rumours involving players that could help their top six, but nothing has materialized yet.
Canadiens Fans & Their Love of Russian Players
July 17, 2024 by Blain Potvin
There is no doubt that the Montreal Canadiens and their fans were ecstatic for the addition of 2024 fifth-overall pick Ivan Demidov. 3 Remaining Free Agent Fits for the Canadiens
July 10, 2024 by Blain Potvin
The Montreal Canadiens and general manager (GM) Kent Hughes are now into the dog days of summer, where very little news happens. That being said, the club is still in need of additional scoring, especially if it wants to take the next step and be competitive in a playoff race for 2024-25.
Canadiens Give Barron Inside Track to Sticking with Habs in 2024-25
July 18, 2024 by Ryan Szporer
Montreal Canadiens defenseman Justin Barron is the victim of shiny-new-toy syndrome… in that he isn’t the new toy in question anymore. Many Habs fans seem prematurely enamored with the idea of fellow-rightie Logan Mailloux joining the defense corps out of training camp instead, despite the fact there isn’t room for both, at least not currently. All things considered, Barron has the inside track over the 2023-24 American Hockey League all-star.
