NHL Rumors: Canadiens, Rangers, Oilers, Maple Leafs
November 3, 2023 by Jim Parsons
In today’s NHL rumors rundown, there are a few injuries worth keeping an eye on. In Edmonton, Connor Brown went down, which is interesting timing considering his contract. In New York, the Rangers may have lost Adam Fox. In Toronto, Timothy Liljegren will miss “significant time.” Meanwhile, Sean Monahan is off to a hot start in Montreal. Is that going to make him a valuable trade asset at the NHL Trade Deadline?
Oilers News & Rumors: Brown, Gagner, Kane, Lavoie
November 3, 2023 by Jim Parsons
In an Edmonton Oilers news and rumors update, the team failed to mount a comeback on Thursday night versus the Dallas Stars. It was a solid effort with 50 shots on net, but mistakes and lapses in defense ultimately cost the team. The loss is bad, but a potential injury to Connor Brown is worse. The bright spots were Evander Kane and Sam Gagner.
What happens if Brown is out? Can the Oilers find a replacement? Is this the opportunity Raphael Lavoie needs?
Maple Leafs News & Rumors: Liljegren, Matthews & Samsonov
November 3, 2023 by The Old Prof
Here’s the good news for the Toronto Maple Leafs, one point is better than none. The big guns (Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner) got going a bit, and Ilya Samsonov played like his old solid self. Other than that, the team might have put fans to sleep for the first part of the game. They seemed to have no drive until they absolutely had to.
In Thursday’s Maple Leafs’ 3-2 shootout loss to the Boston Bruins, Marner and Matthews scored goals for Toronto. Samsonov stopped 38 shots. And, is this a given yet, winger William Nylander continued his impressive point streak, extending it to 10 games by recording an assist on a Maple Leafs’ goal in the second period. In the end, the shootout was over quickly and the Blue and White went down to another defeat.
Red Wings News & Rumors: Rasmussen, Mazur & More
November 3, 2023 by Devin Little
The Detroit Red Wings had a successful October. With a record of 6-3-1, they sit second in the Atlantic Division, and they’ve outscored every team in the division. Alex DeBrincat is tied for the most goals in the NHL with nine, and Dylan Larkin is fourth in the NHL with 15 points. A lot went right for the team in the first calendar month of the season, and now they hope to keep that momentum going into November.
Hopes of keeping that momentum going sure got a boost in recent days. Not only did one of the organization’s top prospects return from the injured list, but it looks like they’re hammering away at a new deal for a fan-favorite player. It’s time to catch up on the latest Red Wings news and rumors!
