Bruins Buy or Sell: Lindholm, Frederic, Swayman, Ullmark & More
November 2, 2023 by Scott Roche
In a series called Bruins Buy or Sell, we will take a look at some of the stories both on and off the ice for the Boston Bruins, as well as any rumors that might be surrounding them during the 2023-24 season. It’s time for another edition early in the season.
Although the Boston Bruins got a big comeback win against the Florida Panthers on Oct. 30, it came with a big price. Matt Grzelcyk left the contest early after suffering an upper-body injury. Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery told reporters following the game that the Massachusetts native is expected to miss the next couple of weeks because of it. Due to this, the Bruins are likely to call up a defenseman. Let’s discuss three of their top options now.

With the absences on the back end, the Bruins announced some roster moves on Wednesday, Nov. 1, by recalling three defensemen from the Providence Bruins. Mason Lohrei, Parker Wotherspoon and Ian Mitchell have all been called upon to fill the void left on the blue line. While Mitchell started the season in Boston and was recently sent down to Providence, the time is now for Lohrei to prove he belongs with the big club.
Bruins 3 Up, 3 Down: Pastrnak, Poitras, McAvoy, Grzelcyk & More
November 1, 2023 by Scott Roche
For the first time in the 2023-24 season, the Boston Bruins faced some adversity in the last seven days. They suffered their first loss of the season, albeit in overtime, they lost a key defenseman to an injury and another one to a suspension.
Despite all of that, they still sit at 8-0-1 through the first nine games with the schedule about to get a lot tougher. With that said, it’s time for the latest Bruins 3 Up, 3 Down.
