Revisiting Bruins Predictions for Second Half of 2023-24 Season
April 18, 2024 by Hannah Garfield
The 2023-24 regular season has come to an end and the Boston Bruins are once again a playoff team. They will face their longtime rival, the Toronto Maple Leafs, in the first round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs after defeating them in all four regular season matchups. Game 1 will be Saturday, April 20 at 8 PM EDT.
Back in January, I made several predictions for the second half of the season and with a few days before the playoffs begin, it’s the best time to revisit those predictions. It’s been a bit of an unpredictable season, and similar to my first half of the season predictions, I didn’t quite hit the mark on most of them.
Bruins’ Beecher Should Be in Game 1 Lineup
April 17, 2024 by Brandon Share-Cohen
The playoffs have finally arrived and the Boston Bruins will take on a familiar opponent in the Toronto Maple Leafs. When the series kicks off, the Bruins should shuffle up their lines and ensure that Johnny Beecher finds his way into Game 1.
Though the team seems pretty set with Jesper Boqvist playing center for them because of his ability to handle the puck, there’s still room for the team to get the most out of Beecher, a natural center, and his faceoff abilities.

April 16, 2024 by Nick Abramo
Forward Trent Frederic was announced as the winner of the 2023-24 Boston Bruins 7th Player Award before the team’s final home game of the season against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday.
Frederic is the 55th recipient of the trophy, which is chosen by fan vote, and he also received $5,000 for the charity of his choice. The announcement was made at TD Garden by New England Sports Network’s Bruins play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards, who went public with his retirement earlier in the day. NESN sponsors the award each year.
