Bruins Getting the Very Best From Morgan Geekie
March 10, 2024 by Hannah Garfield
The Boston Bruins have had to be creative with their signings in the last year due to their cap situation. They’ve relied on taking bets on either older guys or ones that hadn’t completely established themselves, giving them cheap contracts, and seeing if it will work out. In the 2023-24 season, it luckily has. James van Riemsdyk and Danton Heinen are two great examples of this, but the one that has really caught my eye recently is Morgan Geekie.
Boston Bruins Are Ultra Steady in Whirlwind Week
March 10, 2024 by Nick Abramo
It was a feel-good, momentum-building week for the Boston Bruins, who said goodbye to a post-All-Star break slump by winning three of four games and securing seven of the eight possible points.
They did it with a solid defensive structure and deft puck movement in all three zones. Oh, and you can’t leave out mega-solid goaltending, which has been the team’s greatest strength all season.
The four-game stretch included two resounding, home-and-home 4-1 victories over the Toronto Maple Leafs, a 2-1 overtime home loss to the Edmonton Oilers, and Saturday’s 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at the TD Garden.

The Los Angeles Kings sit comfortably in a playoff spot after the trade deadline, but their positioning has varied for the past few months. Now sitting third in the Pacific Division, they are just three points back of the Edmonton Oilers and two points ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights. Predicting how the season will unfold is always a tall order, but if things do not go the Kings’ way, this week will be heavily scrutinized.
Bruins News & Rumors: Lindholm, Maroon, Swayman & More
March 9, 2024 by Scott Roche
In this edition of Boston Bruins News & Rumors, the 2024 trade deadline has come and gone on Friday (March 8) with General Manager (GM) Don Sweeney making two trades. Boston might get a key part of their defense back as soon as Saturday (March 9) against the Pittsburgh Penguins while another has likely played his final game wearing the Spoked-B. The Bruins were linked to a lot of rumors and one of them was regarding their goaltender Linus Ullmark, while Sweeney signed a defenseman to a well-earned contract for next season.
