Bruins Appear Destined to Use Goalie Tandem in the Playoffs
April 12, 2024 by Nick Abramo
A major question mark all season in Boston has been IF the Bruins will use the goalie tandem in the playoffs or not.
The answer is much more clear now, based on what coach Jim Montgomery told NESN.com in an April 4 article. All indications are that Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman will continue to switch off game to game in the postseason.

It’s hard to believe, but the 2023-24 regular season has just three games remaining for the Boston Bruins. There is still plenty to be decided for the Black and Gold in terms of playoff positioning and what the roster will look like when the puck drops on their first-round series either April 20 or 21. Are the goaltenders going to be rotated and what does the third defensive pairing look like? Some many questions with little answers right now.

Bruins Need to Focus on Division Title, Not Presidents’ Trophy
April 10, 2024 by Ryan Gagne
After a 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night, the Boston Bruins maintain a slim three-point cushion over the Florida Panthers atop the Atlantic Division standings. Last year’s opening-round opponents have been battling it out for first place for the second half of the season, with Florida recently holding the top spot briefly.
In 2022-23, the Atlantic Division title and Presidents’ Trophy race were never questioned, as Boston compiled the greatest statistic season in NHL history. However, their projections changed in the offseason when Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci retired, but the Bruins have defied the odds all season, earning a 46-18-15 record with 107 points in 79 games.
