3 Bruins’ Bold Predictions for Game 5
May 14, 2024 by Hannah Garfield
The Boston Bruins are staring down elimination as they head into Game 5 of their second-round series against the Florida Panthers. After an auspicious start in Game 1, it has pretty much been all downhill for the team since then. While there have been some questionable (and that’s putting it lightly) reffing decisions, at the end of the day, the Bruins have not been the better team in this series.
Overall, the Bruins have to really step up if they want to move on to play a Game 6 back in Boston. If they don’t want bad reffing to have an impact, then they need to play better and not let those calls be as big of a factor as they were in Game 4. The team is going to need to be bold to emerge victorious.
Bruins’ Offense Has Dried Up & Marchand Can’t Save It
May 13, 2024 by Tommy Bennett
The Boston Bruins find themselves in the opposite situation compared to their first-round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. They are on the brink of elimination and have their backs against the wall, as the Florida Panthers are leading the series 3-1. The Bruins got the upper hand in Game 1 with a lopsided 5-1 victory, but things have gone south ever since.
The Panthers have won three games in a row, outscoring the Bruins 15-5. Simply put, that is less than ideal and if the Bruins want to crawl back into the series, they are going to need a better effort, especially at five on five.

Bruins Dominated by Panthers in Must-Win Game 4
May 13, 2024 by Tommy Bennett
Game 4 was a must-win game for the Boston Bruins, as going down 3-1 to the Florida Panthers is a less-than-ideal situation. They would have to do it without captain Brad Marchand, who is out with an upper-body injury. Things have been murky for the Bruins offense, as they’ve been able to generate very little and not test Sergei Bobrovsky nearly enough. Safe to say, that plagued the Bruins in this pivotal game. The Panthers completed their fifth multi-goal comeback in franchise history to take a 3-1 series lead. This was a massive blow for the Bruins, who will now have to claw back and force their way into the series. Here are three takeaways from the crucial loss.
Bruins Should Replace Forbort With Wotherspoon in Game 4
May 12, 2024 by Brandon Share-Cohen
The Boston Bruins’ 2024 Stanley Cup Playoff aspirations are fizzling quickly and could end sooner than later if things don’t change. From top to bottom, the team needs improvement and it’s clear that something has to give against an excellent Florida Panthers team who played in the Stanley Cup Final just one year ago after eliminating the Bruins’ in the opening round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs. One change that seems necessary but not imminent is bringing Parker Wotherspoon back into the lineup in place of Derek Forbort.
Bruins Need More From Charlie McAvoy in Round 2
May 10, 2024 by Tommy Bennett
Depth means a lot when it comes to the playoffs. The top guys will be honed in on by the opposing team, as they will look to shut them down. If that happens, you want to see the depth shine through. It can go a long way in a playoff series. Although, you still want your best players to be your best players.
For the Boston Bruins, they’ve seen their best players be the best players this postseason. Brad Marchand single-handedly dominated the first four games of the first round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, as he had eight points in the first four games. Furthermore, David Pastrnak turned things up a notch and got to be the hero to send the Bruins to the second round. However, there is one player they need more out of and it’s defenseman Charlie McAvoy.
