8 Thoughts on Blackhawks 8 Selections in the 2024 Draft
June 30, 2024 by Gail Kauchak

June 30, 2024 by Dave Jewell

After signing multiple players from April’s 2024 OHL Draft, the focus shifted to a strong 2022 OHL Draft class that was NHL Draft eligible this weekend. Fortunately, two of their talents were able to get some spotlight at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

Going into Friday night’s (June 28) draft, the Hawks possessed the 2nd and 18th overall picks. They then added to their first-round haul by trading back up into the first round with the Carolina Hurricanes, acquiring the 27th overall pick in exchange for both of Chicago’s second-round picks (Nos. 34 and 50).
