Flyers Beat Flames 3-2 in Ed Snider Legacy Game

The Philadelphia Flyers ended their losing streak at four games in their Ed Snider legacy match with the Calgary Flames with a 3-2 victory. Despite running into a red-hot Flames goaltender, Jacob Markstrom, who stopped 39 of the 42 shots he faced, the Flyers pulled out a win. Flyers’ Cutter Gauthier Named Best Forward at 2024 World Juniors

On Jan. 5, 19-year-old Philadelphia Flyers forward prospect Cutter Gauthier captured gold for the United States at the 2024 World Junior Championship (WJC), becoming the tournament’s best forward as voted by the IIHF for his two goals and 10 assists for 12 points. Not only did that give him the highest point total for Team USA, but it tied him for the lead among all players in the tournament. The former fifth-overall pick of the 2022 NHL Draft shined in his last season of U20 eligibility.
Bernie Parent: An Original Flyer and Hall of Famer

Considered one of the greatest goalies in Philadelphia Flyers history, Bernie Parent suited up for parts of 11 of his 14 seasons in the NHL and World Hockey Association (WHA) in the “City of Brotherly Love.” Revered by countless hometown fans, “Bernie” chants can still be heard echoing through the Wells Fargo Center whenever Parent is in the house. During his heyday tending the Flyers net at the Spectrum, “Only the Lord saves more than Bernie Parent” became a popular slogan.
Flyers’ Travis Konecny Named 2024 NHL All-Star

On Jan. 4, the NHL announced its All-Star representatives from each of the 32 teams, with the draft set to take place on Feb. 1, the Skills Competition set for Feb. 2, and the festivities concluding on Feb. 3 with the All-Star Game. Subsequent players can still make the team, but the Philadelphia Flyers had their member confirmed: Travis Konecny.
