Welcome back to another installment of my 2024 NHL Draft Rankings!
While it’s been two months since my January rankings, there has been a lot more movement this time around compared to the previous one. Before we get into my top 96 for this month, here are a few things to take note of.

Drafting and developing a franchise goaltender is a tough thing to do. It is made so difficult because there is a set learning curve at the position. Traditionally, netminders develop at a much slower pace than skaters. When the mental part of the game is factored in, it is no wonder that so many top prospects never hit the big time. With that being said, it is time to take a look at the top 10 NHL goaltending prospects.
Canadiens Rebuild Rests on Cap Management

The Montreal Canadiens’ rebuild is in its second full season, and it is slowly progressing. The question is, when will they be done? In the rebuild series, the team’s needs and wants were covered in the last installment. This one will look at the Canadiens’ salary cap structure that general manager (GM) Kent Hughes is currently constructing.

The New York Islanders have gone all-in over recent seasons, resulting in a few deep playoff runs but also a lack of draft capital. With the team not having a first-round selection since the 2019 NHL Draft where they selected current NHLer Simon Holmstrom, the prospect pool lacks top-end talent. It may come as a surprise, but the state of Florida has a robust college hockey scene developing under its’ sunshine. While some institutions founded hockey teams in the 1990s, it took until the mid-2000s for the sport to find stable footing throughout colleges.
What Will the Lightning Get From ELC Signings Szturc & Roelens?

The Tampa Bay Lightning are making moves – for the future. The first player inked to a deal was forward Milo Roelens. Forward Gabriel Szturc joined the Lightning organization the following day. Both received three-year entry-level contracts from the Lightning, and both deals have an annual cap hit of $870,000, bringing in new pieces at a very low price.
