The Toronto Maple Leafs have scored a lot of goals this season and are top five in goal-scoring, and it’s no surprise with Auston Matthews leading the way in that category for the club. There’s been a lot of stressful number crunching to explain this fascinating season he’s having and how it could be revolutionary to the current era of the game. After all, pads are bigger now, players are faster and stronger, and goalies are getting taller, making it way more difficult to get at least 60 goals in this era.
