Predators: A Way Too Early Look At Their 2 Waiver Wire Pickups
November 4, 2023 by Alex Wauthy
The Nashville Predators have made two waiver wire pickups early on in the 2023-24 NHL Season. They picked up Samuel Fagemo before the regular season kicked off, while they snagged Liam Foudy just over two weeks into the season. The Predators’ bottom-six is prime real estate for players to impress and earn ice time.
Their latest adds, Fagemo and Foudy, add offensive talent to the organization’s bottom six, and both have an opportunity to work their way up the lineup as head coach Andrew Brunette continues to implement his offensive style. Let’s take a way too-early look at their first few games with the Predators.
Predators Gameday Preview: Edmonton Oilers – 11/04/2023
November 4, 2023 by Alex Wauthy
The Nashville Predators (4-6-0) will travel to Edmonton to take on the struggling Oilers (2-6-1) Saturday afternoon. The Oilers won their previous matchup against the Predators this season by a resounding score of 6-1 and will look to get back into the win column following a 4-3 loss versus the Dallas Stars on Thursday night.
The Predators enter today's contest after losing two consecutive games for the second time this season. They lost 5-2 to the red-hot Vancouver Canucks on Halloween, then travelled to the Emerald City, losing 4-2 to the Seattle Kraken a couple days later. Both teams will look to begin turning their season around as the Western Conference foes face off for their second time this season.
3 Predators Picks That Found Success Outside of Nashville
May 5, 2021 by Alex MacLean
As a smaller expansion market, the Nashville Predators drafted and developed most of their own talent in the early years. Players weren’t eager to join a new franchise that didn’t have a large wallet or a large following in the city. If the Predators were able to develop a star-caliber player, then they made their best effort to keep them.
What that means is that in the history of the Predators franchise there aren’t many players that “got away”. However, it also means that in order for the team to fill an immediate hole, they had to deal valuable assets. In some cases, the players continued to grow after they left Nashville, and played their best hockey outside the Music City.
