Oilers Projections for the 2026 Winter Olympics

With it being announced that NHL players will be participating in the 2026 and 2030 Olympics, that brings with it an interesting conversation as to which players from the Edmonton Oilers will represent their countries for the first time since 2014. There are some elite-level talent from around the league that have never got the opportunity to represent their countries at the Olympics and have barely even experienced nation best-on-best. They will have the chance soon and there should be a number of Oilers representing.
Oilers Linked to Flyers’ Walker But Have Competition for Him

The Edmonton Oilers are on a roll and are looking like a serious contender right now. They are going to add more pieces before the trade deadline, but there seems to still be questions about whether that will come in the form of a top-six forward, top-four right-shot defenceman, or a backup goaltender. I believe the biggest need is to improve the top four and upgrade over Cody Ceci, not only for this season, but for next season as well. A trade for a new partner for Nurse would have the greatest impact on the team this season, and that upgrade should come in the form of Sean Walker of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Kris Knoblauch’s 5 Best Moves During Oilers’ Winning Streak

Ever since Kris Knoblauch won his first game as the head coach of the Edmonton Oilers on Nov. 13, the team has posted a remarkable 26-6 record, the best in the league during that span. Knoblauch was recently critiqued on the “Oilers Now” show, where his work so far received a well-deserved ‘A’ grade. Knoblauch has made some very good decisions over the team’s stretch of victories and below we highlight five of his strategic choices that have been integral to the ongoing winning streak.
